With approximately 30 scientific sessions planned, EPC 2028 will provide a platform for researchers, industry professionals, educators, students and young professionals to share knowledge, present new findings and discuss the future of the poultry sector.
The scientific program is planned across three conference days, with approximately 30 sessions based on the subjects of the WPSA Working Groups and current important topics in poultry science. The final program, including session titles, speakers, presentation times, poster sessions and technical visit options, will be published once confirmed.

The keynote program will bring leading international voices to Rotterdam to address major scientific, societal and sectoral developments affecting poultry science. Keynote speakers will be invited to provide high-level perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, with attention to innovation, sustainability, animal health and welfare, food systems, productivity and the global role of poultry science. Keynote speaker names, biographies, photographs and lecture titles will be published on the conference website once confirmed.
Researchers, students, young professionals and industry specialists will be invited to submit abstracts for oral presentation. Accepted oral presentations will give participants the opportunity to share recent research, new methodologies, practical insights and sector developments with an international audience. Detailed instructions for abstract submission, presentation formats, review criteria and deadlines will be published later.
Poster pitches will offer a fast-paced format designed to highlight key research, spark discussion and encourage participants to visit the corresponding digital posters in the EPC 2028 app. All accepted posters will be available in the app, allowing presenters to share findings, discuss methods and connect with colleagues working in related fields. Students and young scientists will be especially encouraged to take part.
